The opportunity to meet on Tuesdays from 5:00 till 8:00 has been added to the vex build season. The team meets each Saturday from 9:00 till noon at our shop. Members and guests are invited to one or both meetings each week.

Jackson Area Robotics is meeting each Saturday from 9:00-12:00 at the shop. Presently, 5 vex robots are beginning to take form. Additional robots are needed for JAR to hold its first Annual Invitational Vex Robotic Competition at our shop. The Vex Robotics Design System allows each student to design and build an 18”x18”x18” (maximum) robot with materials that only require hand tools and a few power tools. Everyone works with gears, motors, wheels, frames, and is involved in designing and programming their “own” robot. Together we will build and take apart our individual robots until standards have been met. Students may choose to build a robot within a small group or individually.
Join us each Saturday from 9:00-12:00.

Summer has started, and so have the big plans. We have talked about the major changes that have to take place this summer for the team to transition to something extraordinary.
We are going to be meeting every Saturday this summer from 9am until 12. The meetings will be focused on specific projects and tasks, so at this next meeting we will be talking about the different opportunities we have to do this summer. In the future you will be responsible for having something to do on Saturday when you come. We are encouraging much independent learning this summer with the weekend as a time to bring our knowledge together.

Great Job at the championship. We set out to show ourselves on the world stage and thats exactly what we did. Ranking 12th out of 86 is fantastic. Making the Eliminations at the championship for 2 years running is astonishing, there are many teams 10+ years that have never made it. An interesting fact is that our record for the championship in the qualifications was 6-3-1, our total points we lost by for those 3 matches were 4. So we were very close to going undefeated. Be proud of what you accomplished you deserve it.
Due to prom this weekend we are not going to meet until Saturday May 1st. That meeting we will talk about summer plans (knowledge building, camp, vex, and fund raising). We have alot of momentum going for us right now so lets not loose it.
See you all on May 1st.
